This holiday was established in 1965 in USSR to celebrate the successful development of Western Siberia and the 100 years of the oil & gas industry. The annual celebration of this holiday has prevailed till this day and is now not only celebrated in Russia but also in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Belorussia, Moldova, Azerbaijan and Ukraine.

Petroleum engineering is a beautiful profession full of tough and interesting work.
